#1 Improving Your Long Irons and Hybrids. That Golf Grind recommends you always check your stance first when hitting with anything below a 7 iron. While your club may have the word “iron” in it, hitting it similar to a driver is a major helper. So shoot for distance and not hang time and your club will do all the work for you.
