The Secret’s to Unleashing Your “Tiger Woods Swing” This Year

While Tiger Woods may be the center of most of my newsletters,

(Something I’m more than aware of)

The impact that man has had on not only getting new people into golf but also advancing the game itself can not be denied.

These “Secrets” to his swing will hopefully help you be able to driver further and be even more accurate than before

👀 🔥 ⛳️

1️⃣ Hit with YOUR Body. Here’s what I mean by that, Tiger’s swing has changed throughout his career. Before he got in a car accident, for example, he used to twist more with his hips and that was where his power came from. That’s why today he is a lot stronger in his upper body. PGA Tour’s Swing Theory has a great comparison of these two styles. He compensates that lack power from rotation with power in his arms. Know what your own body is most comfortable with then just like Tiger was.

2️⃣ Check Your Lines. When playing back videos of Tiger swinging with his driver or iron you can always draw a line from his hip down and he never crosses it in his backswing. This allows him to not only get more power out his legs but also accuracy in his swing as he doesn’t do any overcorrecting when he’s coming down. The next time you’re at the driving range or are on the course then, record your backswing and see if you’re making this mistake. It’ll surprise you how hard this can be and also how much better you play when you do.

3️⃣ Lift Your Irons. One thing that Tiger was critiqued for, and is controversial to this day is how he “compresses” his legs at the top of his swing. This allows him to get not only more power in his swing but also gets him underneath the ball without getting underneath the grass so his 7-iron can get closer to the pin on those par 4s. If you want your ball to go farther after it makes its first contact with the green then this is highly recommended

4️⃣ Open Your Pelvis At Impact. This goes hand in hand with the previous one. If you are slightly, emphasis on slightly, in a more squat-like position and your pelvis is open to the pin at contact your club face is not only going to be square with your target but you’ll also have maximum power in your shot. To see these two parts connected I highly recommend Performance Golf’s video on it.

5️⃣ Remember that YOU are NOT Tiger Woods. Hopefully this one goes without saying but it is always an important lesson to remember. Tiger has been playing golf for likely many years longer than you have and has played more hours during those years than you have to. So give yourself that grace and remember that while you may not “swing like Tiger” today. BUT, with enough time (and money) you can always be better than you were yesterday.

Tiger OFFICIALLY Splits with Nike

You heard it here, from the same person who talked about this rumor all those weeks ago.

That’s right, you’re officially reading a REAL golf publication 😎😎

We predict things and they come true.

#Journalist

But you’re not here for me to talk about me.

So let’s get into it.

Here’s what Tiger said in his official announcement on his Twitter account on Monday the 8th.

Soon after his announcement, Nike had their own post thanking Tiger for his part of the partnership.

Now while there’s no official numbers out there as to how much Tiger made from his partnership with Nike…

It’s estimated to be around $500 Million over their 27 year partnership according to Forbes.

Perhaps the reason for the official announcement yesterday, when Nike shut down their golf sector in 2016, is that the last check that was signed stretched all the way to 2024.

We’ll only get access to that information when the documentary on Netflix comes out on it.

My money is it’ll be titled “Eye of the Tiger”

I mean just look this AI generated cover and tell me you wouldn’t watch it 🍿🍿

But until it comes out, here’s what we do know:

⛳️ Every time Tiger wears a company’s branding at a tournament, they get an estimated $3.5 Million worth of advertising.

⛳️ Tiger already uses TaylorMade’s clubs without sponsorship.

⛳️ No company has made a public statement on if their hat is in the ring

With all three of these things in consideration…

Along with putting my money on Eye of the Tiger, I’m also putting it on Tiger coming out with his own golf equipment and clothing line.

And if you think I’m crazy then check out Daily Mail’s article on why this makes sense as his next move 👀
