🏌️‍♂️ The “Swing Circle” Even PGA Players Practice [Video Attached]

Speaking from personal experience here…

YouTube has taken countless hours of my life hostage thanks to the (also countless) rabbit holes I’ve gone down there.

For example, I sadly know just about everything we’d need to make a fully functioning civilization on Mars.

But today we’re using YouTube for what its true purpose is…

Going down in our golf score and NOT going down those rabbit holes.

(See how I brought that all together 😉)

My terrible jokes aside, we’ve got a quick, 10-minute video for you today to help you do just that.

It’s from Danny Maude, one of the world’s top golf instructors, and it goes over the most important components of a golf swing that even PGA players add to their daily practice.

I’ll add the most important takeaways below but I know some of you are more visual learners so let us know down in the reviews button below if you want us to include more of these.

(Who knows maybe we’ll even start up our own YouTube Channel someday 👀)

So if you don’t have time to watch the whole video here are the key takeaways you need to know:

1️⃣ Improving your strike and direction with this wrist exercise (1:31)

  • The biggest difference between your shot and the PGA Players’ is almost always going to be how straight there is and how ours (I’m definitely included in this one) hooks right or shanks left

Ensuring that your wrists aren’t causing your shot to go into the bushes you weren’t even aiming at can be essential to lowering your score this weekend.

2️⃣ If you’re constantly hooking or shanking your shots then you need these simple tweaks to fix your “trail arm” when in you’re lining up your shot (3:11)

  • Other than your wrist, your trail arm is the second thing that takes your shot offline the most.

You can keep that trail arm in check by bending it slightly just below your lead arm.

You’ll know you’re doing this right when someone behind you can almost see about half the width of your front arm

3️⃣ How to ensure you’re not moving “off the ball” during the backswing (5:06)

  • This was the one that I personally enjoyed the most as it’s what I’ve always struggled with.

With a few tweaks, you’ll ensure that on your backswing you’re not moving your shot away from where you were aiming.

Simply put, your hips need to be rotating and you need to avoid shifting weight to that back foot.

4️⃣ The VERY uncomfortable exercise that switches your top and bottom hands is essential for improving your swing (6:55)

  • This one…Honestly, I can’t think of how to explain this one simply, you’ll just have to watch it 😂

Now we’ve got some news to talk about for the Ryder Cup coming up at the end of this month…

📰 Update for Ryder Cup Players

As of a few days ago, the official Ryder Cup Roster was released.

With Luke Donald Captaining the European Team and Zach Johnson Captaining the American Team, it’s looking to be an interesting matchup.

If you follow sports betting you might have heard though that right now Team USA is favorited with a -115 favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

This is of course all projection and speculation for right now but what’s most interesting is Team USA had a larger projection last week to be the winners but with Luke Donald’s captain picks the numbers changed.

One of the picks that surprised me the most was the up-and-comer Ludvig Abger.

Now I do say “up and comer” loosely as he did get first in the Omega Masters and finished in the top four during the Czech Masters.

But he did just turn pro less than 3 months ago.

Jumping up to play in the Ryder Cup to represent the European Team comes with an entirely different level of pressure I certainly hope he’s ready for.

Albeit I am going for Team USA, I do love to see a Rookie succeed.

For now, though, this rookie joining the roster is the most interesting news we have for the upcoming tournament.

As we get closer we’ll let you know of any players to watch closely or any upsets to keep an eye out for.
