How to Sink More Putts in 3 Steps (And Mini Golf?)

🤓 What PGA players say about the controversial “Mini Golf”
😂 The most relatable “Golf Memes” today
Let’s get into it!
Trivia Question: Who is the youngest player to ever win a European Tour event? Answer Below.
🏌️♂️ From Duffer to Dazzler
Hole More Putts in 3 Steps
We’ve been talking a lot about drivers and irons lately so I thought we might want to spice things up for today.
After all, there’s nothing worse than being on track for par or even birdie but then having to 3-putt and mess the whole thing up.
(Definitely not speaking from experience there)
So no matter how much you may or may not like this side of golf…
It is sadly here to stay.
Unless of course you’re the one in the group that always says,
“That’s a Gimme”
Meanwhile the Gimme Looks like…
@golfuniongreen There’s always that one friend #Gimme #golf #golftiktok #SocialGolf #uniongreen #golftok #playlocal @kristaiaco
So to prevent future arguments whether it really was a gimme or not here’s 3 Steps to Sink More Putts
1️⃣ Set Your Stance
A big problem people have with putting is they go from hitting with irons and drivers all day that they forget how to line up with a putter.
You obviously want your club face square like you do with any other shot…
BUT if your shoulders are off by any degree your whole shot is going to be off.
Check either with a friend or a video that you’re not dipping your shoulder to get “under the ball”
2️⃣ Improve Your Consistency With a Routine
This is something that a lot of PGA players swear by and so it’s definitely highly recommended you follow suit.
When lining up for your shot get in the zone with something as simple as
✅ Look at the ball
✅ Look at the hole
✅ Look back to the ball
✅ Prepare your swing
Don’t come at me saying this is a stupid piece of advice either when this one comes directly from Butch Harmon
3️⃣ Know Your Distance
If you were to hit a ball, from the same spot, 5 10, and 15 feet…
How much would your power change?
Most people have no idea because they either only practice on the same hole at the driving range or simply don’t practice at all.
The next time you’re at a hole and have no one behind you try doing this and you’ll be surprised how difficult it is at the start
AND how much it helps your game

Driving Ranges Vs. Mini Golf Courses
How much time have you spent at both?
And before you think about it I’m not talking about the terrible mini-golf courses you find at roadside spots your dad took you to.
There’s some rather impressive set ups now-adays that are definitely worth a try.
If you don’t believe me try and not have a great day on a date night / family night at this place in either of these places below
BUT…
If you’re like most people then you’ll undoubtedly have spent more time at the driving range or even places like TopGolf than you’ve spent at mini golf courses.
And it makes sense why…
Putting is a LOT more frustrating than hitting a driver 200-yds or improving your “flop shot”.
How many of us have to purposely hold ourselves back from quoting Happy Gilmore every time we miss a put 👇
But hey, we didn’t get involved in this sport because we enjoy feeling happy all the time, right?
All jokes aside hitting up the mini-golf course can really help with two parts of what makes putting difficult…
Staying Focused
Adapting
If you’ve ever read any “How to get better at golf” articles, you know how much they talk about staying focused.
(Almost to a frustrating extent honestly)
And focusing on a line where the putter they lent you isn’t going to be doing you any favors is exceptionally important.
Oh and please don’t be the guy who “brought his putter from home”.
Golfers have enough bad rep with being uptight…
We don’t need anyone else reenforcing stereotypes out there.
As for adapting…
If you can hit even half of the shots you’re trying to make with the variety of things that can go wrong at a mini-golf course then you’re doing pretty good for yourself.
But the question remains up to you if you’d be willing to try one out.
I totally understand the side of the 18-Hole Golf Purists out there.

😂 Mulligan Memes
Just in case you think putting is the most infuriating thing about golf…
This neighbor might have you beat.
That dad is going to need a “tall one” before you show this video
Not sure if this means they found the world’s greatest golf course…
Or are enjoying a quick 18 at the “discount” one in town.
Regardless of your answer to that last one, you know this is happening at that hole 😂
