Review on the "Netflix Cup", Why Golf and F1 Don't Mix PLUS What "Golf Swing Aids" Are Worth It

👋 Good morning, golf aficionados!

🏌️‍♂️ In today’s scoop, we're diving deep into the world of swing trainers, from what’s trash to what’s gold.

🔍 We're also going to peek at some other tantalizing topics: from Netflix’s first (and maybe last?) live sports event, which was... let's just say, an unexpected adventure, to the latest golf-meets-F1 mashup in Vegas that's got everyone talking. 🏁

👇 Dive into today's read for the best (and worst) swing trainers, bizarre golf events, and everything in between. It's not just about the swing; it's about the experience. Let's get rolling!

Trivia Question: When was the first time someone scored a 60 in a competitive Tournament? Answer Below.

🏌️‍♂️ From Duffer to Dazzler

Should You Buy Swing Trainers For Black Friday?

I think I should apologize for this one honestly…

Because with all of the links and videos I send to you,

I’m probably at fault for the amount of golf ads you get targeted with.

(Of course, you’re also welcome for all the great golf ads you’ve seen thanks to me)

With the immense amount I’ve seen lately from writing these newsletters though, I do often find myself asking…

Would that actually make my golf game that much better?

So here’s how to answer that for yourselves without being “that guy” on the golf course 👇

🛠️ Training Grips: These are almost always guaranteed to get you the bang for you buck as they’re not overly priced like most other training aids. Not only are they always going to be reasonably priced but they really help with bad habits in your grip.

🛠️ Putting Boards: We all struggle with putting. Getting the chance to see how crooked your club stance is and getting the muscle memory for the perfect back swing can’t be understated. Plus, this is great to practice with on and off the greens.

🛠️ Whip Clubs: One of the things we’ve talked about numerous times on this newsletter is getting your pacing of your swing right. With Whip Clubs you are forced to tweak your cadence to ensure the “club” is as straight as possible by the time it gets to the ball

🛠️ Putting Balls: Like I said before, we all struggle with putting. Getting a ball that amplifies your mistakes on where you make contact will definitely drill into your muscle memory how to putt better.

🛠️ Straight Sticks: Straight Sticks combine just about everything I’ve been talking about, except for the putting parts lol. It’s a Whip Club with a Training Grip AND a slider on the shaft so you can audibly hear when your swing is at the top and bottom.

Netflix’s “First Live Sports Event” Might Have Been the Last

When it was first announced that Netflix would be hosting a LIVE Sports Event…

I don’t think anyone expected what we saw this weekend.

There was a hole where the 2 Player Scramble LITERALLY scrambled in golf carts and raced to tee off.

This was followed by an interesting…

I think it was timed…

Game of golf where the first to get their ball in the hole won.

I mean I actually watched the “Netflix Cup” and was rather confused myself what I was watching.

Of course, the game of golf is not what everyone is going to be talking about after what we all witnessed at the end of the match.

No that’d be Carlos Sainz DROPPING THE TROPHY on LIVE Television

My heart goes out to the guy as he literally is one of the best in the world at racing multi-million dollar race cars.

And ALSO plays incredibly well at another sport he’s not even payed to do.

But then goes and drops a trophy like one of us normal people.

I’m not sure if there will be a sequel to Netflix’s LIVE Golf, but I personally don’t think that was Netflix’s goal with the whole thing.

I mean it’d obviously be great if people got excited for another round.

But I’m pretty sure this event got more than enough subscribers to their platform if not to watch this match than to at least watch their Full Swing or Drive to Survive programs.

Oh and how creepy was the Las Vegas Sphere with the giant emoticon in the middle of it all 😬
