🏌️‍♂️ From Duffer to Dazzler

Best Exercises to Look Good On and Off the Greens

I’d like to start this one off with saying we are in no way sponsored by who I’m about to talk about.

(P.S. That’s when you really know someone is good)

But I found this guy on my timeline while scrolling for this newsletter, well at least that’s how I justified it to myself 😂

He has a quote that I thought was really awesome though,

“Why not hit better AND look better?”

His name is Cody Wescott and here is 3 exercises that I’ve been using to help improve my game before my family’s big Christmas Tee Off.

#1 Train For Strength NOT for Looks. When you go to the gym for whatever reason, to golf better or just be better, it’s essential you never forget why you’re there. If you’re training to golf better you can still have a killer workout. It doesn’t mean you’re taking a day off. Working the full body and not just for big biceps and chest will help you get a great workout AND a great game.

#2 Go to the gym with a gameplan. When you go to the gym having an exact plan for what exercises you’re hitting and keeping track of week-to-week progress not only increases your results but also the likelihood of you going to the gym. There’s nothing worse than going to the gym and realizing you have no idea what you’re doing. Gabe Caldwell also has great workout plans for this.

#3 Not all “Workouts” Involve Weights. Sometimes the best way you can improve your game and body is by doing exercises to increase mobility and flexibility. Doing free weight exercises helps to increase explosiveness and reduces the load on joints. Not to mention, they’re a killer workout.

Nike Backing Off the Tee Box??

Out of all of my favorite golf trends I saw…

The #BackOffChallenge was one of my favorites.

It combines two of some of my favorite things:

✅ Making people laugh

AND

✅ Hitting dingers off the tee box

However, the rumors are starting to circle that Nike might be backing off from their golf apparel lines and their sponsorships with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka.

Now, like the tweet says…

This is definitely a rumor at the moment.

BUT, we also saw something similar happen with Nike’s Golf Equipment Line in 2016.

They are less and less “bull-ish” about the golf industry as the years have gone on.

And perhaps for good reason as Nike Golf is one of the least profitable sectors of the Nike Umbrella while also having the most expensive sponsorship prices.

(Tiger Woods and Roy McIlroy aren’t cheap after all)

What this means for you is that if you’re a big fan of Nike you need to either

START buying up your favorite balls, shirts, and clubs before they run out of production

OR…

WAIT for the coming clearance sales.

Let us know down below what your thoughts are on the rumor as well 📝👇
